Kitchen Deep-Clean Checklist
Grill, Range, and Flat Top Cleanliness
Turn off all equipment and let it cool down before cleaning
Scrub the grill, range, and flat top surfaces with a grill brush or cleaning pad to remove food particles and grease
Clean beneath the equipment, removing any food debris and grease buildup
Refrigeration and Freezers
Empty out the contents and place them in a temporary cooler
Wash and sanitize the shelves and drawers
Clean the interior surfaces with a food-safe cleaner
Ovens and Toasters
Turn off and unplug equipment for safety
Remove racks and trays to soak in soapy water
Scrub the interior with oven cleaner and wipe down the exterior surface
Sinks and Dishwashing Areas
Scrub and sanitize sinks, faucets, and countertops
Clean and descale the dishwashing machine according to the manufacturer's instructions
Organize and clean drying racks and storage shelves
Floors, Walls, and Ceilings
Sweep and mop all floors, paying special attention to corners and under equipment
Wipe down walls, baseboards, and ceiling tiles to remove grease and dust
Check for any signs of pest infestation or damage and address as needed
Storage Areas
Wipe down and sanitize shelving units
Rotate stock, checking for any expired or damaged goods
Sweep and mop the storage area floor, including corners and behind shelves
