Staff Uniform Checklist

Pre-shift uniform and grooming inspection for FOH, BOH, and bar staff at a full-service restaurant. The manager on duty walks each station, flags any non-compliance, captures a photo, and signs off before the doors open.

  1. Inspect hand and nail hygiene
  2. Check hair restraint compliance
  3. Verify slip-resistant footwear
  4. Confirm uniforms are laundered and pressed

Front of House Uniform

  1. Confirm server attire matches the dress code
  2. Check name tag placement
  3. Inspect apron and side-towel condition

Back of House Uniform

  1. Verify chef coats and toques are clean
  2. Check kitchen non-slip shoes
  3. Confirm side-towels staged at the line
  4. Inspect cut-glove availability at prep

Bar Staff Uniform

  1. Check bartender attire condition
  2. Verify bar tools carried per policy
  3. Inspect closed-toe footwear at the bar

Pre-Service Sign-Off

  1. Identify any non-compliant team members
  2. Document the uniform issue with a photo
  3. Resolve the non-compliance before service
  4. Sign off the pre-shift uniform inspection
