Training and Documentation
Ensure all personnel involved in the transportation of dangerous goods are adequately trained and hold valid training certificates.
Maintain up-to-date records of training for all employees, including dates of training and types of training received.
Review and update all required documentation, including dangerous goods shipping documents, emergency response assistance plans, and accident reports.
Classification and Identification
Properly classify dangerous goods according to the appropriate regulations and standards.
Ensure every dangerous good is correctly identified with proper shipping names, UN numbers, and class labels.
Verify that the safety data sheets (SDS) are available for all dangerous goods being transported.
Packaging and Labeling
Inspect packaging to ensure it meets the requirements for the specific class of dangerous goods and that it is in good condition.
Affix appropriate labels and marks on packages that accurately reflect the contents and risks.
Securely close and seal containers to prevent leaks and spills during transportation.
Loading and Segregation
